After 26 years as a dean, director and professor at San Diego State
University, 8 years on the San Diego County Board of Education, and 8
years as President of the San Diego Community College District Board
of Trustees, I understand the key role that the State Legislature plays in
providing adequate funding and legislative guidance for quality of life
issues including education, health care, affordable housing, economic
development, public safety, and the environment.

As a candidate for the 78th Assembly District seat, I seek your support in
my efforts to get to Sacramento and represent you on these important
matters.
